since I am the "junior shooter" among these posting... but... my 0.22 worth: consider one of the 'basic 1911' models... 1. Springfield Armory 'Mil Spec' model 2. Auto-Ordnance 1911a1 3. Rock Island (imported from Philipines ) add a couple Wilson-Combat mags... get acquainted with it... and remember ...

several months ago a guy had a "recently tweaked" AR and was checking-out how it was firing. with OtC ammo, he was complaining about the "grouping"... I offered 5-6 of my simple .223 reloads... and they grouped very well for him, he asked for the 'specs'... I told him and ... then... later that even...

39A that is older than dirt. my "favorite" is my '77 39a but the universe is "outa-whack" unless each 39a is paired with a .30-30 -- toy http://toyfj40.freeshell.org/GunPix/Marlin39a77a.jpg http://toyfj40.freeshell.org/GunPix/Marlin39a77k.jpg http://toyfj40.freeshell.org/GunPix/Marlin30AW.jpg

welcome to the forum. uh... I don't know your circumstances... (and don't need to know), BUT you may want to get some alternate advice on recording a firearm S/N in such paperwork... "just give it to them" and keep quiet. you are kinda-sorta giving a "Voluntary FireArm Registration" for your benefic...

I've been 'in' (ie. visited) some fairly noisy "industrial" shops... ( trip hammers, diesel pumps... ad nauseum ) but not "worked there" day after day... so, the EarMuffs/plugs/etc (even White Noise generators) will dampen, muffle, suppress the 'sound waves'... BUT... (?) when it comes to the heavy ...

sometimes I (try to) think outside the box... (but I enjoy playing in the sand, so I usually return quickly) give some bit of thought as to What, How close, How often you expose yourself... meaning... I go to the range and take my precautions... from time to time there is someone that has a minimum-...

I can not have an AirGun because I live in Michigan and it is considered a real gun and must be sent to an FFL. this came from "shipping TO Mi"... if you were to go to a SportingGoods store to buy an AirRifle (and/or AirPistol)... would they run a Background Check? or just sell it to you... ? I rec...

"March" (not the month)
something I just heard about, planned for Spring 2010... http://SecondAmendmentMarch.com/ their "FAQS" page indicates an effort to coordinate local activities. I've already exchanged brief eMails with JRLott who commented that IF THE RESPONSE is "poor", the media will show it as a Failure... ( and i...

need your advice on building a low cost pellet trap to use in my basement. just an idea... ( after the spring-thaw in late June, of course... ) go to a scrap-yard and take down a laundry-dryer to get the "tub". stuff an old blanket into it and tape your target over the opening... Shoot from behind ...
