Well, I ordered a Browning Contour Lite the other day, not sure how long it will take to get, 2-3 weeks they said. It will be nice to have a back up to my Ruger, and compare the two guns to see which one I like the best. I am thinking this one will be a nice shooter, like my Ruger. It has a "weaver"...

CZ 75 TACTICAL SPORT

Dear forum, In my quest to find a good quality "shooter", if you will, I have done a little study on the CZ 75 TACTICAL SPORT. Wow, what a beauty. Does anybody have any experience with this gun? I am wondering what the trigger is like compared to a good 1911 ? On a different note, I have "also" been...

It's a nice looking hg, but the trigger looks very similar to the Beretta M9. The Beretta seems to have alot of pretravel, creep, and overtravel. I am looking for a crisp trigger pull, without too much travel.

Me and my Beretta might not be the perfet match, although I like the gun and it's history. It is also well made and easy to field strip, and I feel it's a nice looking gun as well. I also think there are better tiggers out there than the Beretta, at least for me. I have shot other guns and have been...

I just got back from the range, and shot my S&W 686 6". I haven't shot any magnum loads thru it yet, until today. I shot 30 rds of mag, and 20 rds of 38sp. The magnum loads really kick some rear end. For just plain target shooting, I prefer the sp. What a nice gun, really a good shooter. This brings...

Well, I have been thinking about the .45 vs 9mm situation, and have pretty much decided on a 9mm(at least for now anyway). I am not much of a carry person, and I have yet to commit myself to home defense usage. It's a spiritual thing for me. I like the 9mm for it's low recoil, and lower price than ....

In God We Trust

Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency? Yes. It's a violation of the principle of separation of church and state. No. The motto has historical and patriotic significance and does nothing to establish a state religion. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10103521/ A chance to vote

Desert Warrior

I have been considering a 1911 to add to my arsenal (little bunch so far). There is so many options when you consider manufacturers, accesseries, and so on. I rented a "Desert Warrier" by Kimber today, and it was quite a pleasure to say the least. Being a stainless steal gun, it's weight offset the ...

It must have been for the entire job, parts and all. Next time I see him, Ill ask him for sure. So far, with the help of the website, I have really liked the outcome of doing it myself. It's good experience.

A gunsmith I know said he would do it for $150, but I didn't ask him if that was including the parts or not because I intended on doing it myself. I find it rewarding to accomplish such tasks, and with Bullseye's informative link : http://www.guntalk-online.com/detailstrip.htm it makes it that much ...

I love to come up and shoot with you OM. Keep in touch so when the weather gets nicer we can make it happen. You have 3 ranges??? wow! I can tell from what you write that you hate the drawn out michigan winters. I feel the same way. They say you appreciate summer more by virtue of enduring the winte...

I have been thinking about the Taurus PT1911. Some good reviews going on about it. They claim the reason it is less expensive then other 1911 manufacturers is that they do "all" machining, building, whatevering, in-house. SA, Kimber, while being great guns (at least that's what most say), do signifi...
