Since "shooters" are a declining group I will go out of my way to make anyones range experience a good one, including a mag of good ammo or lube on a dry action. That said, I'm having fun getting a 25-06 to shoot that the previous owner hated  Now, I did my best to get him to let me try to fix ...

I agree that neck sizing is not enough as to his point the shoulder keeps moving forward with every firing. I've been using his tool to set up my dies and with a just fired case reading and adjusting my FL Redding die to just leave 0.002 of the shoulder it is producing some great reloads. You are al...

Setting Up Dies For Precision Reloading

Most reloaders agree that die setup is critical to the construction of precision in our reloads. We want to wind up with as much of the case supported as posible. Since the headspace at the shoulder is where much of the action resides when firing we are seeking to bump the case 0.001" to 0.002 at th...

I fear that the public opinion battle is being lost. Many of our fellow citizens don't know the meaning of "Unsustainable" :(

IT LIVES

The person that wanted rid of it is an excellent shooter, but not a reloader so I thought that worst case I needed to find a load that it likes. This target was shot this week at 8:30AM and it was already HOT so as you can see the scope was only bore sighted. It for sure likes that Hornady Interlock...

I knew that you would all understand 8) Now I need for my scope base mounting rail to arrive tomorrow along with a better spring for the trigger. The trigger is as terrible as I've seen for a long time and might be responsible for some of the problems with the rifle. Regards

Browning A-Bolt Needs TLC

Being a glutton for punishment just like baom I just acquired A-Bolt 25-06 Stainless Stalker with the Boss system that the owner was ready to make a fence post out of. He said that it was a very inconsistant shooter given to throwing a flyer just when he thought it was zeroed in. Now, I used to own ...

SK Rimfire On Sale

MIDWAY has SK Standard Plus on sale for $44.49 a brick. I use it in my Smith 41 & my Remington 40X and it seems to give good groups in several firearms. Worth a try when you want something better than bulk, but less than pure match fodder. Regards

What Bullseye said! A routine is very important starting with loading up everything needed to have a fun/safe range trip. I've forgotten to pack at some time or other the firearm I most wanted to shoot or the ammo for it  Somedays the groups are just not there and I get out Henry and shoot for...
