I have a few in a couple of my MK's, and some in a couple of my 10/22's. They really are a great part.

Pretty Pretty pistol.

I love those slab sides, sooner or later I will run across one that talks me into taking it home. Nice choice all around, looks very nice.

Being or having a "mentor" for anything can be very satisfying. Good for you guys on helping others out.

I guess that I am pretty "Old School". I still use Hoppes and brushes/swabs and patches for cleaning. Still using Hoppes oils too, but like Bullseye, I prefer to put some on a rag and then wipe down the pins or bolt upon re-assembly.

Bullseye, If you like those barracuda's, you should take a quick peek over on RFC in the stock building section. They are showing off a pistol version of it that would be NFA legal, even with a rifle receiver, due to over-all length. I am thinking about it pretty hard, either with a GM heavy taper o...

VQ makes a larger slide release. I have afew and they work pretty good for me. I haven't run across a no smithing mag release extension for the MKIII yet though.

Have you tried "the vise method"? On my stainless lower, I used that method because it was just so loose.

The pink one on the MKIII frame fits very very tight. The blue one on the older MKII had a very slight amount of slop, so I put a blast shield in and presto, no more slop. As to the accuracy, they seem to hold their own pretty well. The following targets were at 25 yds with a 2x pistol scope off of ...

That looks like a short cycle. Maybe a new recoil spring?

That is a good deal for the price. I may just have to grab one of those, as lately my "little" range bag which was perfect for one or two pistols and some ammo, is just barely big enough for ammo these days.

Maybe the sear that he is replacing was one of the early CNC machined ones. I recall a few people commenting that when the VQ sears changed from the older "cast" models that the CNC "new" generation wasn't quite as good.

I have two of these and like them very much. They are very light. On a 22/45 frame maybe they would be considered "too" light. On my metal frames though, they feel very nice. They also shoot very well. FWIW

Range Report:

Love the trigger. Moves like glass, very smooth. Shoots good too.

I also had to slightly grind the rear of the trigger window for clearance. A fine rat-tail file just to slightly "curve" the rear edge for the top of the round pin. Talk about comparison. Kinda funny that two of us are doing the exact same mod at the same time.

Hey Recumbent,

On the Marvel trigger base, since it is pre drilled and tapped this is probably a little bit easier. Could you post a few pics of yours "in-build"?

Thanks,
