BAOM, I went to an indoor range for an hour or so yesterday to exercise my Brownings. All did well, especially the Buckmark. I guess it was trying to keep up a good appearance for the Medalist and Challenger II. But I may have made a bad error in judgement when I was leaving. The range also sells gu...

Came home from work the day after my last post, and the PDs were leaning against the garage door courtesy of USPS. They are all set and ready to go, but it is going to have to warm up 30-40 degrees before I head off 35 miles to the DNR outdoor range. Only place I have around me where I can use them....

Prairie dawgs arrived

USPS delivered them (my prairie dawgs) yesterday to my garage door. Put them together last night and can't wait for the weather to warm up. Not anytime soon, however, still supposed to go down to 14 or so for the next 2 or 3 nights, and then level out at 20 +/- 4. All the way up to 40 in the daytime...

Bullseye, is my memory correct in you or someone saying the VQ sear would also work in the Ruger standard 100 frame? I did replace the trigger, but at the time I did that, I thought that was all I could do. I also made a new slide for one of my mag.s and the hold-open after last shot works okay. My ...

3 Dog Town

I received notification yesterday that my three prairie dawgs are on their way to me from wherever it was I bought them. I was going to get them from one of the on-line suppliers, and then I thought I would check good ole e-bay. Saw some for $19 and made a bid. Ended up paying some shipping and got ...

BAOM, the NYPD just need to carry TAZ and then they would not need 4 shots to take out the perp... One shot would be enough. :D TB

My mother always made Kringlas when I was a kid. Not sure of the spelling but I believe they were Norwegian. Always baked them in a figure 8. They were sure good with butter and a cold glass of milk. Grew up in northern Iowa and we were nearly as Norwegian as Minnesoda! VH :oman:

Way to go, downeaster! Couldn't be happier for you. You impressed the first guy, no doubt in my military mind you won't do the same with the next. My military mind is still as sharp as it was 35years ago. Well, maybe just a tad duller. TB

Where did you get those OM? I bought some of the metal ones and then found out the DNR will only allow the ballistic foam targets used on the range. I don't understand their reasoning, and neither do they....

The Eyepal [ http://www.myeyepal.com/ ] is on the order of the electrical tape with a hole in the material. It may be called elastomeric or something like that. It will stick on your shooting glasses by static electricity and is easily removed or repositioned as needed to get your proper sight pictu...

The bear spray is basically an EPA registration of pepper spray for use as an animal (bear) repellent. By the way, Hakka, it is a violation of federal law to use a pesticide in violation of the label directions. Dress all of your BGs up like bears before you spray them.  MMmmwaaaaa!!!\\...

I know BOAM. It does get embarrassing. I had the ammo bag setting next to my range bag with the pistol cases; then picked up the 2 rifle cases with the other hand and forgot to come back for the ammo. I want to show a couple pics and then I will quit bragging. But, you know, at our advanced years of...
