9-mm the round of choice?

The FBI thinks so. One of the reasons cited is less wear on the gun than a .40. How many rounds of .40 does it take to wear out a pistol and how many police shoot that much? The other arguments are interesting: higher ammo capacity, less recoil = better accuracy, terminal ballistics with new rounds ...

Just maybe the sights for a 422 would do for the M41. See Precision Sales International http://www.precisionsalesintl.com/Product/tpu23sm.html This one fits a dovetail. You'd still have to put a front sight on that barrel. It almost sounds as though you'd have to set front and rear sights in a rail....

I've only been slightly busy. I've been doing some consulting and it's taken up a few days. The weather here didn't make it conducive for shooting when I had the time. Snow, rain, rain. Also, I volunteered to lead a rally for my toy car club and that took two drives over the route before the real dr...

I never take my pen that has a mini-Swiss Army Knife on it or the pen that looks like a .375 cartridge. I'm sure neither of those dangerous weapons would make it through.

After all, the Swiss Army pen is probably mightier than the sword.

I don't know what the temps are like in your area, but if it is below 35°f pistols tend to slow down and malfunction at this level and below. Shoot some more rounds through it in warmer temps and see if that doesn't loosen up your ejection issues. I have taken a 1" dia. cotton shotgun mop cleaning ...

Mine still requires a blow to take it apart. I only detail clean every 2000+ rounds so it does not happen very often. And since 22 ammo is scarce I have not been shooting it as often as I did. Something about taking a hammer to to a gun to disassemble it makes some cringe. :D Or is it having a gun ...

What ever Ruger's intent vis-a-vis field stripping; if you end up replacing trigger, hammer, sear, extractor, firing pin & removing the LCI & magazine interlock, you'll be an expert Mark III repairman once you figure out how to easily reinstall the mainspring housing. But a third hand would really ...

David, my MKIII Hunter has been tight since day one. I suppose it might loosen up if I disassembled it frequently. It still needs a whack to move the receiver on the grip frame. I gave some one a lesson in Ruger field stripping and got the big eyes when I casually removed the receiver by striking th...

I'm sure Bullseye has performed the required work to be a Doctor of Philosopy in Ruger. A good...

You may find a need for more frequent field-stripping if you decide to pocket carry due to high fuzz intrusion in the inner workings. Have not heard anything from you in quite a long time - welcome back! R, Bullseye I've been avoiding those I-94 winter wrecks lol. I'm carrying the lc9s in a Galco l...
