Re: New Beretta for me

Bought a Bobcat .22 last week, and got to test it today. Not too bad, got six inch groups at 25 feet with that two inch barrel and near useless sights. The little thing has no ejector, but I only got one FTE in about 150 rounds. I would wish they made it total stainless. You can get it with a stain...

I put this ammo right up there in the exact same league as CCI Mini Mags. It's excellent ammo.

Thunderbolts are junk ammo. I won't shoot them in any of my RF guns. They WILL lead up your barrels something fierce. However, I find the Remington Subsonics to be excellent ammo that is super accurate out of both my Ruger and my Tac Sol Pac Lite barrels. Of course, the price of this ammo is n...

Yeah, .22's a poor choice for self defense, for sure. The purpose of this pistol was as a "kit gun". It doesn't weigh much and I live in the mountains where I hike a lot and fish sometimes. The self defense part is a back up role- but it's there. I shoot probably 2000-2500 rounds a month through RF...

Thanks, that one looks like it will work. Anybody know of a leather holster that will fit a 22/45?

Need Good Strong Side Belt Holster for 22/45

I have a MkII 22/45 with a Pac Lite 4.5" Barrel/Receiver. I can't seem to find a good thumb break holster for it. I want something that I can draw quick, which is why I can't use a top strap or a flap. Anybody know of anything that fits the bill, or will I have to go custom.

Well, I got the 22/45 set up with the Pac Lite upper to carry on the trail, or when I'm fishing. I could potentially have to use this pistol to defend myself/family from two legged vermin. I guess I better not mess with the slingshot mod. I don't need the bolt locking back inadvendently. I guess whe...

OK, thanks Bullseye. I didn't know it was under the 22/45 stripping info.
I wonder why Ruger puts a detent and spring in the 22/45 and they don't with the MK II/III metal frame guns bolt release.

22/45 Slingshot Mod

So, to do the slingshot mod on my new MKII 22/45 all I need to do is clean the preservative oil off of the relavent parts and then just take out the detent ball and the associated little spring? Then, make sure the bolt latch will gravity drop. Is this correct? I'm pretty used to slingshoting the bo...

Well, I guess I'm going to use it on the MKIII frame that I modded with the Clark Hammer Bushing and oversized sear pin. I also am running a VQ Sear and the factory trigger with the pre travel screw that you tapped for me. I just took my Dremel and using the carbide cutter I very carefully relieved ...

Installing MKII 22/45 Receiver on MKIII Lower???

I have an extra MKIII Lower that I want to put an extra MkII 22/45 upper receiver on. THe Receiver doesn't seem to want to go on the lower. I have a Pac Lite that goes on both the 22/45 & MkIII lowers. So why won't the 22/45 receiver fit on the MKIII Lower. I think I'm going to have to chamfer the l...

Field Stripping "New" 41 Mags

I bought some of the orange follower 12rd mags, but they don't have the hole in the floorplate and I couldn'r strip them for cleaning. Benignant over at RFC posted this response. Maybe it will help some Folks over here that don't travel in both circles. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/sho...

Here's the pistol. Little too much "bling" for some folks. Took a little heat over it. I like the chromed/SS look myself.

Aimpoint Micro H-1 and the R-1 (stainless finish) are the cat's ass. Super small & lightweight and you can leave it on for 5 years.
They say the dot is 4moa, but I think the dot is actually like 3.2moa.
