I have had some fun over the past few weeks. I put the Fed Int. scope on the CZ and got a Simmons Master 6x21 44 mm side parallax and put it on the MKIIg. So far the CZ may have the upper hand on accuracy, but it had a trigger job done by the previous owner that is even better than the accutrigger o...

The reactive targets are fun too. Either the metal ones that flop around or the ballistic foam prairie dogs/gophers that go round and round. I had a young fellow come down from the other end of the shooting benches and ask me where I got my gophers. I was making them role at about 60 yards with my ....

Oldguy, My target was (is) right below your post. I like wood better, and the MKIIg is also very inexpensive. I don't recall if the black synthetic is cheaper or not. I know the camo-synthetic is more expensive. With saying that, you probably also noticed I got the CZ 452-2E Silhouette which does ha...

I put a pretty long post over on RFC [ http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335908 ], but I will make a brief one here. I got a Bushnell bore sighter off e-bay and it worked great. Zeroed the CZ to an x-bull in 3 shots and 2 clicks down (1/8 in/click) and 1 click left. The new Simmo...

It would have to be my Browning Medalist, Challenger II, then my Buck Mark, Rugar Standard and Ruger Single Six in that order.

All are fun to shoot, but some are just sweeter than others.

BAOM, being a little more in favor of Scotch, I had a dram or two or three of Famous Grouse which seemed to sooth the rotorutor in my chest. I am going to go see the medics here in a little bit and see if I can't get a little more high powered pills to cure this crud. I didn't have a chance to look ...

I am home with a devil of a cold today. I think I will have some hot chocolate and a nap right now, but I will hop on e-bay here after while and see what might be drifting around. I don't think I want to spend $90 for one. I zeroed in about 10 shots the other day with each rifle. But it would be fun...

I will have to look into one of those bore sighters. I have never used one. The lazer ones that are built into a centerfire cartridge would be great if you only shot one caliber.

Thanks for the info. TB

Got them both out to the range a week ago Saturday. The MKIIg shot great. I only set up the target at 25 yards, but I did shoot some rocks and twigs on the back berm at +/-65 yards with each. The Savage shot everything very well. I really like the trigger. Took a little bit to get used to the take-u...

My BH just shook her head. She loves me. I let her get lots of stuff. QVC is her favorite TV show. LoLs.. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm193/varmithunter/Savage%20MK%20IIg/100_1651.jpg I haven't got a chance to shoot it yet, but I got the scope on the Savage. I ordered a scope for the CZ today...

Kaz, I just finished mounting the 6.5x24 - 44mm Fed Intensity scope on the MK IIg. Looks awesome. I did remove the rear sight to clear the AO lens of the scope. I was surprised how easily it drifted out. I sure didn't want to have to get in movin' match with it. Now I need to get on line and see wha...

This old thread has lain around quite a while with nothing new added. Guess I can add in that HENRY II got a couple new closet mates. A CZ-452-2E Silhouette and a Savage MK IIg, both in .22 LR. Haven't shot either one yet, but I am frothing at the mouth to do so. Got to get one scope mounted and get...

YEHAA!

I went bonkers this past Sunday. My wife is going to shoot me, but I hope not with my new acquisitions. Due to the intense pressure of seeing all you fine folk running off to the local dealers and picking up great deals. I started perusing a couple and fell for the trap. So Saturday I went by one on...

It was only 21 degrees when I left house this morning. Supposed to get up to 50 today and a few degrees warmer tomorrow. But Saturday it is supposed to turn around, rain and get colder again. My black dawgs are going to turn grey before I ever have a chance to put a hole in them. Hak, I am sti...

I want to look at the Savage MK-II G [is that the one with the wood stock?], but I can't find one anywhere in my area. Dicks doesn't have any. And the guy I talked to there didn't even know what the Acu trigger was. The other Dicks closer to my house is a small store and doesn't carry much of anythi...
