Trya apeisce of that Chore boy scouring pad as I have seen a lot of guys that talk about using it. Just wrap itaround the weedwhacker line and pull it through, it as I understand works well.

shooting skeet
Usually shoot sporting clays, but have shot a lot of skeet years ago before I had retina problems with my right eye. Have a blur in my central vision and have become left eye dominant, still shoot right handed and can average 80% at sporting clays. When shooting skeet, you set your body up so that y...

I'd love it Len but I don't get up to Michigan very often. I grew up in a small town in Northeastern Ohio, my folks still live near there. I think you're up in the Northern part of Michigan, if I remember correctly. I've heard its really pretty there near Marquette. Thanks for the offer, if I do ge...

You can say that again. I definitely over aim with a shotgun. That's one reason why I can't handle the twin bird scenario, by the time I hit the first one the second is long gone. On the trap/skeet range I'm certainly entertaining to watch. R, Bullseye shoot it obn the ground, it is still fair game...

leading
I believe Len is referring to Lewis Lead Remover. It's a specially made brass cloth patch that you run through the barrel on your cleaning rod like a regular cloth patch. There's a special attachment that screws onto the rod and holds the patch in place. Here's a picture of the Lewis set up. Browne...

You have a really good control over trigger movement due to all you rifle and pistol acccomplichments, you probably would try to aim and ssqueeeeeze the trigger. The shotgun games are point and shoot as a result of my poor trigger control due to too many K's of shotgun I shoot the action pisto as it...

Re: barrel leading
copper looking Chore Boy potscrubbers to clean leading. Just wrap some around a jag and patch and run it through the bore. I have some "00" steel-wool, but I presume that's a bit harsh. I'd thought of wrapping a jag with a little of it, not a TIGHT-fit, but enough to do a little work... I'll still ...

barrel leading
I have heard of others in rimfire and centerfires using those copper looking Chore Boy potscrubbers to clean leading. Kust wrap some around a jag and patch and run it through the bore. They say it works well. Have not leaded a barrel so I can only relate what I have heard. Good luck.

I totally agree Len. Having a carry permit is the only safe bet. Like you, that is exactly why I have one. When I leave the range with weapons and ammo, I want to ensure these implements do not fall into the hands of someone who will use them illegally. R, Bullseye They will never get the ones in m...

If it were me - I'd let someone else be the test case. Clearly there's some friction between the two offices that enacted this legislation and I wouldn't want to be caught in the middle as they fight it out. R, Bullseye Nor would I, don't think sitting in jail and wondering what is happening woulb ...

carrying in plain view
These are all judgement calls. I once heard a Conservation officers opinion as we just write the ticket and let the judge interpret the law. Judges opinions do vary from state to state or even county to county.

carry in a car
In my opinion the way to make sure you are not breaking a law and possibly suffer the conseauences is, spend the time and moneya nd take the course required in most states to qualify and then apply for your CCW as it is called her in Michigan and your are then legal. Old Michigan law allowed carry u...
