And now I finally figured out the avatar function.
Finding something recognizable and interesting in 80x80 is a challenge!

My club does 2700 matches, but I'd guess that Oak Harbor, OH is a bit far to drive on a regular basis.

Welcome to the forum, of course!

There is a web-based version of Picassa that is a pretty good hosting service, and a desktop-based version that is better for photo-editing. http://picasaweb.google.com - you probably need a Google sign-in to use it, but that opens up GMail, Google Docs, and a slew of other "cloud computing" service...

Do you put your SSN? I've heard that (justifiably) refusing to do so slows things down. I'm not sure about the security clearance bit, I think it is an urban legend. I know that anecdotes don't make data, but I was a USN Nuke and a submariner, and my checks are over before I've inventoried the goodi...

bear (or oldman ), that would be .32NAA, so probably a North American Arms Guardian (link below), which is an interesting little caliber, sort of a miniature .357SIG. My understanding of it is that it offers the good feeding of a bottle-necked cartridge, with extra velocity compared to a .380 or .3...

ruger22 , the .22LR cartridge just doesn't have the physics behind it to be as effective as most centerfire. There is only so much kinetic energy to bring to the party in such a small package. Remember that there is an upper limit on the pressure a rimfire's case or chamber can take, and that your ...

The wife and I both looked at the Walter PP pistol but I myself did not like the way the clip has to be dropped with a lever off the trigger guard. This means it is a 2 handed operation as one (unless you are a magician) can not do with one hand. Levers do break often compared to a button system! I...

Sam makes a superb product, for a fair price.
I hope he's making some profit off of them, but it can't be much.

Re: Dog-gone trouble

QUESTION : How many bites would you take before you put the dog out of it's misery ??? I would wait until the dog was moving in for a second bite, but I learned an effective strategy for dog bites years ago. I'll share it with you: When a dog tries to bite you, feed it your fist . The jaws can't cl...

The geezer and dog raise a valid point, Hakaman. Do the Kahrs have a striker indicator, or any other way to determine if the trigger was actuated? If so, some abuse while in the holster with a snap-cap in the chamber may be in order ... make sure there is no live ammo in the gun or mag, load a singl...

nice looking holster, can you re-holster in-pocket, or does the holster have to be placed on the gun, then the pair stuck in a pocket?

Easy solution to this problem - Time for a bigger safe. YOU come help me get it up the stairs to the apartment! ekaphoto , remember that if you do go the route of getting a new upper, you can recoup some of the cost by selling off the old upper, if so desired. In fact, I might be interested in a sl...
