Actually I do kind of sympathize with the basic pet peeve he described. I often find myself scratching my head over some of the stuff you read on the internet or in text messages or email. It is a whole new language.

Weather hasn't bothered us here yet. We've been getting mostly rain with a little light snow that turned to slush.

That is when us really hardy souls curl up in a recliner with a gun magazine. :D

When the temperature drops below 32 I tend to limit the number of rounds shot to one per degree. :D So you did about what I would have.

Don't See Any Difference

I load a fair amount of both 9 MM and 45 ACP. I have used Winchester, CCI and Federal primers depending on what was available in my local gun shop. I haven't seen any difference in them whatsoever. I also do not load any max loads so I don't make any adjustments when I change primers. I have never h...

I am one of those curious tinkerers and I like to know what makes things work especially my guns. I accept the consequences that this some times brings. Dirt and grime gets in to places where it is not easily removed by routine field stripping and cleaning. Eventually the buildup can affect performa...

I just got finished replacing my trigger, hammer and sear with VQ parts. I just test fired it last night and the improvement is huge. Bullseye's detailed instructions were a tremendous help in doing the parts replacement. You don't really need to replace the hammer to get the desired improvement. I ...

It's Finished

Well, I finally got all the pieces parts together. The sear pivot pin from Ruger took the longest to get here. Just got done putting it all back together. Everything feels great. I don't have a trigger pull guage so I don't know what the weight it. But it is clean and crisp and light. I can't wait t...

Has anyone ever put together a collection of his "Cooperisms" in book form? I wouldn't mind adding such a book to my library.

Where did you get your buffer from? I have been happily using nothing but CCI SV in both of my target 22's, a Smith 41 and a Ruger MK III. It has been extremely reliable and groups very well. Considering the higher cost of the 41 I might be willing to try something that would extend its lifespan. DWS

Now that is what I like about this particular forum. A well thought out useful response to the original question with no denigration of the poster. You would be surprised at how many forums the original poster would have been knocked around for asking this question.
