I only own A Mark III, but used to have a Mark I. Even so, I picked this up at a gun show a few months back for $12 and it's a really good book. The history and development are interesting, and the technical details still apply to even the Mark III for the most part. Any Ruger Mark whatever fan shou...

Let's keep the anti-gun lobby happy. Go for the .50 caliber Bullet-Sprayer Deluxe, with the 200 round magazines (at least ten of those, with the belt holder), and optional bipod, of course.
( A little humor here. THIS is what I imagine all the anti-gun loonies think we psycho gun-huggers drool for.)

If I have or suspect a specific issue, I look for it right now . I average about 100-150 rounds per gun on a range visit, and I field strip clean ASAP afterwards. I never do a complete detail strip. Parts that can't be seen without partial detail strip, like the firing pin and rebound spring assembl...

.22 Pistol? Mark III stainless bull barrel (minus the LCI and mag safety, as discussed elsewhere on this forum). .22 handgun in general? Single-Six 5.5 inch stainless. I know, compared to the Mark, it's got 4 less rounds; and slower to shoot, unload, and reload. But I can shoot better with it, and i...

Okay, I'm done with the mag safety washers, and the winners are...... A M5 stainless washer against the hammer replaces the spring, and just does clear the hook on the hammer; two number 10 stainless washers next, replacing the mag safety arm. The only modification, I had to slightly enlarge all thr...

Old Newbie, Ruger fan
I just signed up, so I could add something to the Mark three mods here that got got me off to a great start doing them. I was into handguns fairly big twenty-odd years ago, I once had over a dozen in various makes and calibers, then circumstances and new locations got me out of shooting. This new el...

Thanks, Bullseye! I have a digital camera, but no batteries right now. I'll add photos of the LCI plug and maybe my mag safety mod when I finish both. If I can figure out how to do it! <<Edit - Here's the pictures>> http://guntalk-online.com/images/LCIblank1.jpg http://guntalk-online.com/images/LCIb...

Stainless will be different in size
I just finished making a LCI plug out of stainless :D , and posted a reply there about it. Now I'm planning this mag safety mod. I learned something getting the materials. A stainless number 10 washer is smaller in diameter, 7/16 versus 1/2 in steel. This will help in making the second washer, it ma...

(I have edited this post a number of times, to reflect new thoughts and ideas I tried after the first post. I think this is the final edition ! Sorry it is so long, but I want to be clear on what I did, for the benefit of whoever may use one or more of my ideas.) Bullseye posted my photos a little ...
