I'll take the Kimber Custom Target over the Springfield Range Officer. Basicly the same pistol at pretty much the same price. The Kimber is a bit more refined and just plain feels better in my hand with a much better trigger... I took the Kimber and BOY DID IT REGRET it........3'' groups at 50ft......

Well guys been to the range twice this weekend and man my scores are so bad I'm embarassed to share them.....257 and 259 NMC 50 ft and 25 yds......I'm in a terrible slump which really confuses me as I just shot a 192/200 with my Air Pistol a few days ago.......My timed and rapid fire have gone south...

well guys over the weekend did some slow fire.......90,90, 89 withe my 5.5 Ruger MKIII /Red dot. This morning 175/200 with the IZZY in the basement I hope to get to the range this weekend and shoot my new Ruger MKIII 6 7/8 tapered target with open sights.... And as well turn it a NMC score.............

As much as I like the ruger sp-101's I dont own one as I have a 65-5 k frame 3 inch heavy barrel love it....the action is as silk carrys nicely and will handle the .357 mags that I like to carry the speer gold dot 135gr short barrels..........I must say if I didnt have this gun I would have a 3inch ...

I'd say your Burr came from a dry fire with the fireing pin stop removed/ broken .......the onlly way I know of to remove it is a chamber iron ...brownells has them......
