Re: Expanded my work shop with some new equipment
I saw somwhere online where a machinist made a complete Beretta 92, just to see if he could. I don't know how you'd get around the Feds with no serial number?

Where is Bullseye?
A few of us have left several scattered posts since New Year, but haven't seen a word from Bullseye since February 25. Anybody have other contact? You doing okay, big guy?

Re: What new firearm/s have you bought lately?
Didn't buy it, but Ruger traded me a SP101 .357 for my broken .22 LCR. Even trade entirely on their dime. Not a bad deal, since the SP is $200 more gun. To even it out, that enabled me to sell my .357 LCR, for $350. Now instead of a .22 practice / .357 carry pair of LCRs, it's a pair of SP101s. My h...

Re: Laser sights?
I've thought about getting a laser for my carry SP101, but only for range use. I'd like to learn to keep that dot in a small area of the target. I still wouldn't want to rely on it to save my bacon, though. The big problem is justifying the cost, too high for my needs.

Re: Laser sights?
It is so nice to see someone post, at last. I've started a couple of threads over the past month that are collecting dust. I've never thought much about a laser. It does give away your position, at least for however long it's lit. They add bulk and weight to your gun. You're partially depending on a...

DA revolver frame lugs
A chance for our fearless leader and expert gunsmith to get technical. By frame lug, I mean the the tiny bump on the frame below the cylinder release that keeps the cylinder from sliding completely off the crane when open. Specifically, I've noticed that my SP-101s have it, but the GP-100 doesn't, e...

Re: 44 special in Magnum cases
I don't reload, but I know people who make .38 Special loads in .357 Magnum cases. That closes the gap in longer magnum cylinders, supposedly giving better accuracy, and stops the ring of crud in the front of the chambers. Seems like you're in exactly the same situation, loading Magnum brass with Sp...

Re: Bad LCR-22
Like I posted earlier, fit and finish vary on the .22 SPs. I passed up a few, then ran across a nice one. Still needed Wolff springs before I was happy, trigger on all of them is too heavy. It's a nice gun, and I enjoy it. If you see a good one, grab it. Main problem I saw was badly clocked barrels,...

Re: Bad LCR-22
I haven't read or heard of any others with those troubles. Mine may have just been a fluke. The first two were right after they hit the market, and may have just been early "bugs". I sent back the .22 because the ejector was burying itself into the aluminum frame, then the .357 cylinder latch jammed...

Nice that someone is awake here.... ...
Got my tracking number, the SP will be mine tomorrow. I'm hoping they send an above average example. I passed up four .22 SPs before I saw one that suited me to buy.

Bad LCR-22
Went to the range Saturday the 11th. The trigger on my LCR-22 locked up. Got home and disassembled it. Found the transfer bar and the trigger return spring both broken. Ruger got it back today, and are sending me a SP-101.357 snub in even trade. I requested the exchange, since this was the third LCR...

You mean even Super Bowl LI doesn't rate a post? Second thread this year. WOW.
FWIW, President Trump picked New England by eight. Not a bad prediction.
