what constitutes "plain sight" for handguns. as "Dr.Phil" says, "I'm not a lawyer... and I'm NOT bragging...", but Plain-Sight is another "judgement call". if you're using an Open-Carry Side-Arm holster... WRONG. if it's under your coat and a quick glance from the side gave someone a momentary view...

Re: Legal to carry in your car! (Tx)
starting 9/1, a Texas law goes into effect that allows people to carry a handgun in their car. It was my understanding back in the early summer, when it came to a vote... that they changed the "definition of TRAVELING", in that prior-times YOU had to "Prove you were Traveling", but the Revision goi...

yes, thanks for replies/info. Since CenterFire ReLoading makes a clear distinction in the RIFLE powders vs PISTOL powders. Rifle powders burn slower to accelerate the bullet as it goes down the longer barrel. Pistol powders burn faster to put the oomph behind the bullet, while it is still IN the sho...

Powder used in .22 ?
Is there anything to be learned or understood about the GunPowder used in the (more common/popular) .22 cartridges ? I'm not a "reloader" (yet, anyway), but I'm aware of the vast assortment of CenterFire Pistol, Rifle, ShotGun & BlackPwdr "loads" and the immense books and databases of their uses. I'...

I'll get it, it'll just take a little time. FYI. when I browse to: http://www.GunTalk-OnLine.com/ I am seeing the favicon in my FireFox(tm) URL line AND TAB when I move to 'forums', the favicon remains on the URL line, but the TAB shows a generic-"page" icon... (??) Maybe the 'validator' link (in a...

Do you know how to code a php page to show favicons? sorry, my HTML sprouted from my unix and "data analysis" work to display some results for Mgt... to this day, I still code all my HTML with 'vi' and/or via some custom-program-generated HTML sample: http://toyfj40.FreeShell.org/Jokes/ My observat...

favicon.ico
I noticed "a little tweaking" of the site. the 'topic/thread' status icons are now little pistols. Various browsers will behave differently, but placing a pistol-icon in the "root" of the WebServer... as 'favicon.ico' might/may/should allow browsers to retrieve it and use it to display on the ADDRES...

Re: Dry Firing
Make a simulated target with an index card. First get a brand new pencil with a new eraser. Now shoot a ten shot group. Back when I was in HiSkool, the 'Pencil Test' meant something else entirely... but that another forum. I attended " Camp Perry " back in early July. the 'basic Pistol School'. The...
