thanks for the prompt responses... I found http://www.AR10t.com/ it seems that DPMS, Armalite and RockRiver all make AR-10s in .308win and price is... well, as expected. but they do not seem to be the "kit", BYOR as is 'ar-15'... (if you have a lot of Will-Power... look at the Armalite 30m308 ) ... ...

ARs

I know I am "late to the party", but I'm getting the itch to consider building an AR... I've Google'd a lot and watched the nice set of Brownells step-by-step videos. It seems that dang-near all the web-sites that discuss "building" are focused on the .223rem (or 5.56 )... other calibers are listed....

Harper... welcome to the forum.
congrats on having an FFL "friend"...
good luck with the Hunter...

after you hold it at arms length to fire a few bricks,
the strength will build in your arm and it won't be so "heavy".

take care -- toy

Speaking Up

I just read these two articles from the TulsaWorld http://www.TulsaWorld.com/news/article.aspx?articleid=20090313_11_A1_ARuger442781 -and- http://www.TulsaWorld.com/news/article.aspx?articleid=20090307_16_A1_Thirte498540 the first on 'ammo sales' and the second on a Hunting instructor that refused "...

I should do an exact count one of these days. just don't post the "inventory" on the Internet!! I heard a radio-economy commentary the other day, it mentioned to consider having more Cangoods, long-expiration foods in the cabinet... basic blankets, towels, socks, shirts, shoes and "things to barter...

"rimfire ammo" is more a study of Statistics than Ballistics... the tolerances, mass, velocities and mostly QA/QC (Quality Analysis/Quality Control) in mfg make most all of the differences in rimfire ammo... A. Bulk-.22-ammo will have more "variance" in rimthickness, primer, powder, bullet this ends...

Tragic incident in Alabama

the recent incident in Alabama involved several family members being killed and other innocent victims, plus injuries. an alternate question could be: removing the name/signature of current-politicians from the printed currency. an issue-date is adequate, if I want to know who was in office when that bill was printed... I can look-it-up... now that you got me started... when I go to the local "County-tax-collector" ...

the 2nd-amendment-march is (as best I know) planned for about a year from now... to precede the House-elections... other efforts are focusing on more general issues with the name: Tax Day Tea Party being fairly common... try a Google search. I would hope that any such effort that gains a critical-ma...
