I think I'd want an SD gun a bit looser. I've fired a few XD's and they have been pretty good. A .40 might be about as good as a .45 and carry a few more rounds. The holster says it fits .45, .40, and 9mm - so the fo-tay might be coming along. I don't think the gun is "too tight for defense", it ru...

Good gun, my wife wanted one and I like shooting it also. She even ran it in a pin shoot and was competitive in the scoring. Sort of snappy Really tight inside Needs a very "enthusiastic" hand to rack in the first round, otherwise no issues at all with various 45acp loads I've run - if you try to ch...

And I have multiple guns (heck, I have multiple guns that fit the same holsters) It wouldn't make as much of an impact on me to have one of my carry guns confiscated, but I'd be agitating to have it returned on principle anyway. And if the police need the gun so terribly much, how is it unreasonable...

That punk learned not to pick on old people, they most like;y are armed' How can the police take her pistol without arresting her on some charge, they have no legal leg to stand on as I understand. If I heard right, to match bullets taken from his butt if he shows up at a hospital.... To prosecute ...

The only thing I could see the mag disconnect did was add a few seconds to field stripping because it had to be inserted to decock the hammer. I can't imagine many times I'm going to shoot a .22 target/plinking pistol without a magazine inserted. It is a tortured path of reasoning for this to be a ...

Seems to be like buying a new car and then removing the Air Bags and cutting the seat belts off. Whatever you guys do is OK by me. I like mine just the way it is. TJ The difference being that seat belts and air bags provide a useful safety feature. It is more like buying a new car and taking off th...

Activism is doubly important now. Write your representatives. If they don't disregard the Constitution, thank them and remind them to be more vocal If they're statist trash trying to disarm citizens, remind them that they can be fired. If they're on the fence, persuade them and point out that you wi...

"Armed" beats "unarmed" by such a wide margin that everything past the point of "armed" is frills. That being said, I take all the help I can get. For your cheap ammo purchases, I think that wadcutters and semiwadcutters are available in .38special, a big flat front makes a better substitute for rea...

He should get a sidearm She should consider a sidearm They should bill the asshat for re-zeroing her rifle after using it as a bonkin' stick The judges who DIDN'T put the asshat in jail before should be held liable for his continued asshattery, that criminal is a danger to the public, and I anticipa...

And few years ago I got hooked on the 1911 ergonomics and design, and I did some extensive reading and research on the gun and JMB's other designs. One thing is keep in mind when it comes to innovation in 1911-land is that John Moses Browning made the gun to the specifications of a committee with th...
