That is absolutely insane. Almost knocked that last guy out of his chair. My favorite was the big guy looking all macho til it jumped plum out of his hands when he fired it. I picked up a H&R handi rifle in 500 S&W last year to deer hunt with until I shot it a couple of times then I promptly sold it...

That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish there were something like that around here. Another thing I read about that sounded interesting was a 2X4 stake match, where apparently you pound a 2X4 stake in the ground with a red painted stripe on it for your target & you shoot until you shoot it in half. Fi...

Target crown?
I was cleaning my mark lll's tonight after a trip to the range & I noticed that the crown on my 5.5" bull barrel target 22-45 was different than my 4.5" threaded bull barrel 22-45. On the later, there's a nice beveled crown on the muzzle & the 5.5" is just a sharp 90 degree at the crown. The crown a...

I'm pretty sure that here in the Hoosier state if its a gun you already own going in for repairs or the like you're ok but if its a replacement with a new serial # that you've not "owned" previously then it has to go thru an ffl. I'm not sure if that is a state or federal thing though. It might be d...

I went to one lgs to inquire about one & he had one he just got in for another guy for $425. I haven't been to see my buddy who owns the other lgs to see what he can come up with yet.I'll probably go see him tomorrow. It really looks like a nice little magnum pistol, what's the difference in the old...

kel tec .22wmr auto loader
Anybody know anything about this kel tec pmr30? [url http://www.keltecweapons.com/our-guns/pistols/pmr-30/[/url] It's a semi automatic 30rd .22 mag pistol. Sounds like a fun gun to shoot. Might be better for squirrel hunting than my 22/45 marklll. It might just jump to the top of my "next gun I have...

I think you're right Bullseye. I was thinking it was a thread like a sticky or something, but the more I think about it someone might have just mentioned the fact that you could do it. Like someone said in another post I was reading "My rememberer isn't so hot nowadays, but my forgettor is working b...

cant find thread on rear sight blade
I ran across a thread detailing the fabrication of a rear sight blade for mark lll adjustable sight out of an old sawzall blade but can't find it anywhere. I'm in the process of doing this & would like to refer to that thread but I can't find it. If anyone knows of that threads whereabouts, please e...

I was watching the Leo's play around at the fop range the other day while waiting for them to get done so I could shoot. They were supposed to be practicing for their upcoming qualifications but one said "betcha can't do....." & when it was all said & done they're was four of them shooting a 4" oran...

I appreciate all the suggestions & input from everyone. That is one of the reasons this is my go to place for everything gun related. I've decided the first course of action should be to contact tru-glo & see what they had to say about the matter. I sent them an email explaining my situation today (...

Red Loctite will work, yes, but how will you then adjust the sight for windage? You can use a center punch too raise some spots on the bottom of the sight, or peen the sharp edges of the dovetail to burr them over a bit, either way will make the sight ftr tighter. You could also center punch some s...

I just realized there is a hole (roughly 0.095") in the top of the slide under the front sight. Any reason why a guy couldn't tap that & install a set screw to hold the sight in place? The only drawback I can see is perhaps the hardness of the slide??? There's not a lot of room under the slide to ac...
