Re: Lever Action 22's

I have 3 Marlin 39 (D, Mountie, and Golden. All older real Marlins) And I have an older 9422. The Marlins all outshoot the 9422. But the Winchester is prettier

Re: Mk II rear sight change

Just browsing the old posts, I want to update my opinion on rear sights. Bomar as stated earlier is a great sight. But no longer made, and if found, needs a little gunsmithing because it mounts over the big pin.. Volquartsen is also a great sight. It mounts forward of the big pin, which shortens the...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

Right now a dozen people online with nothing to say. Come on. This is "GunTalk" I am guilty of aging out of serious Bullseye shooting. My drive has waned. But interest is still there to help others in the game. Meanwhile I seem to be returning to my blue steel and wood rifles. Remington 721, 722, 72...

Re: Where is Bullseye?

I'm a little late to the party. But yes, I like this forum and the folks here seem so well mannered. Thanks guys. Thanks Bullseye.

I am semi retired from matches. And my writing time is limited too. This summer I hope I can get back to more shooting. (If I remember how)

Re: What's with slow GTO?

Been wondering the same thing. Shooter friends tell me Bullseye is dead. No, not that Bullseye. CMP has killed Hardball. No, not me. The game requiring Hardball, with all the relaxed rules. Those of us with real Hardball achievements can stay proud. Users browsing this forum: Hardball and 0 guests

Nose diving rounds on ramp

I almost always load 5 rounds. With five rounds load, ya know. Testing a 4" SS Mkii bull barrel today it would nose dive the first 2-3 rounds into the ramp almost every time when loaded to 10 rounds. Seven and less rounds work fine. It has a Mkiii bolt and stop because I stole the Mkii bolt for anot...

R,
Bullseye
Starrett for me too. But I do have a 6" dial caliper made in France branded Mauser.

Jack Go for the Nelson Conversion. My favorite by far. http://www.nelsoncustomguns.com/ Bob Marvel's latest unit is a Nelson with Bob's magic touch on the chambering. Call Larry Nelson and discuss your intended use, ammo available and chambering. The Kimber and TS units are not top bullseye conversi...

Amazing.

Clockwork has been a wonder for me since my families oldest thing is a 1840-1843 clock that still keeps perfect time.

It all depends on the volume or girth of the grip. Both Nill and Rink have run a little big in the diameter for the hand. The "broom handle diameter" so to speak. My hand is wide, short, and meaty. Very hard to find a grip I like. So I stay mostly with standard grips. I have invested a ton of $$$ in...

My hand is too thick to establish the Zins grip with the stock 45. My best hold employs forearm muscles to firm the wrist.
