The .45 convertible is a much better idea than the .357/9mm convertible. Accuracy falls off significantly pushing the 9mm down the .358" dia barrel. 9mm bullets are marginally smaller than 38/357 but its enough to muck up the accuracy....if you can load your own 9mm with .357 bullets accuracy shoul...

I should have worked the trigger since it was in pieces for almost 2 weeks... but it was good to begin with I was just tearing it down a bit to clean powder residue/gunk that had gathered there for the last 5 years of shooting it... and I wanted to try out some dry lube on the trgger group to see if...

Got the spring from ruger and it was the right one this time.....(They sent me 2 just in case) +1 for great service from them.... dropped in the spring and everything worked just as it should, I guess i am now an "expert" at dissassembly/reassembly of the trigger group....since it works and i didn't...

the spring is so small that I just put the whole thing down walked upstairs and called ruger...it woulda been like looking for a needle in a haystack. (my work bench is right next to the laundry room/ storage room) or make that a needle in a pile of laundry

add in the Ph of the muck it was in (lots of oak leaves) and all the other lake bottom goo... I'm still impressed i've seen things that were submerged less time with more damage...

I've got it down to an art. I can have that thing down to its components in 45 seconds flat..and back together in 2 min...now getting it to work properly, thats a different story :roll:

Well I took it all apart and re-fit everthing about 4 more times and no luck :? ... So I then noticed on the exploded diagram / parts list / invoice from Ruger that the cylinder latch Spring and the pawl spring were the same part # and that would make me believe that they should be the Same length.....
