Good score! I think you will like the XDM. I've had an XD 40 for a few years and it has been great. Best of all, it fits my hand.

And, some of us read regularly, appreciate the information, but often don't have much to contribute that someone else hasn't already done.
I do appreciate all of the posts though.

re" your PS-
decreasing vision, increasing "klutziness" and small parts are the reason I keep a magnifying glass, and a strong magnet on my workbench at all times. However, I have found that doesn't work well for spilled shot, and bare feet find all that pretty quickly.

I picked up a Marlin 1895 blued/wood stock, octagonal barrel about 3 years ago in 45-70. It isn't for sale or trade. So far it has been flawless.

I got one a couple of years ago. I know there is lots of 'stuff' out there about them, but this one I have has been great. No FTF, no eject problems, and as you said, the trigger is a little stiff, but gets better with time. So, I don't know what to say about the folks who have bad luck with them. P...

Sounds good. I've used Trail Boss for several years in my .45 Colts. I haven't tried it yet in the .38 spcl. but probably will soon.

For what its worth, I have been using a Dillon RL550B for about 10 years. I load 3 pistol calibers and 4 rifle calibers. Tool heads change easily. The only issues it has had have been the fault of the stupid operator. Previously, I had a Dillon Squre Deal B and it was great too. Once the operator br...

with the fixed sights you have to either tailor your load to the point of aim or file on your front sight.... I think for me plaing with the load is the best idea. i'm also willlng to bet the Vaqero's sights are regulated to a 250gr bullet at about 800-900 fps, being the classic 45 colt loading. my...

I've had a .40 S&W for about 3 years. I like it. I don't find the recoil to be much more than my .38spcl with +P loads. Overall, its a keeper and has been pretty much my 'go-to' carry gun. I also have .45 Colt, and a bunch of .22s. They all get used. Basically, it the .40 floats your boat, go for it.

I don't know for sure, but I have heard it said that a prosecuting attorney could claim that you loaded 'expecially deadly' rounds, constituting premeditated intent to kill.
Just what I've heard.
