Re: Ammo prices
Prices I see seem to reflect normal inflation. On other forums, I read a lot of whining over prices not going back to pre-shortage. Well, hey folks, that was years ago, and prices would have went up even without a shortage. Most of the 500-ish .22LR bulk packs are $26-30. Mini-Mags are ten bucks. My...

Re: BUTTON RETAINING SCREW
Both of my SP pivot screws are snug, but no Loctite that I could see. I moved both a little both ways to try my screwdriver fit. Glad your eyeglass driver did the trick. Narrow drivers are most always hair thin, too. For that size screw, you're really supposed to use the weaker purple Loctite, so a ...

Re: Still hanging on
I check here 2-3 times a week. I sure miss the old activity, but glad everyone is still apparently okay. I'm on Gunner Forum, which is fairly active and a good bunch of people. I'm grudgingly on Rimfire Central, which is too active. Plus it's a bit overloaded with know-it-alls, and folks who think a...

Re: BUTTON RETAINING SCREW
That was partly my problem when I returned my .357 LCR to Ruger. My cylinder latch pivot (what Ruger calls it) had backed out several turns, and stuck. I could not get it to turn either direction, with reasonable effort. Ruger said it was not repairable, and sent me a new gun. I had already had trou...

Re: Lost my carry gun
Good for you, glad you found it in a fairly short time. I see an advantage to having a safe, in that all guns are in one place, maybe two if you have a bedside arrangement. I'm glad in a way my wife has nothing to do with guns. She can't keep track of anything; constantly asking if I've seen her key...

It's good that people are hunting info. Some of the information here is absolutely priceless. Everyone here was a big help to me more than once. We all appreciate your expertise, that's for sure.

Re: SP design change
A while back, I wondered over the new frame lug design on the SP101 Ruger sent me to replace a LCR : http://gunnerforum.com/attachments/gun-talk/8985d1507313090-design-change-goof-1493224204219.jpg I looked over my two SPs, and some forum posts today. It dawned on me how the SP frame lug machining w...

I have zero experience with reloading. Sorry I can't help. but I thought I'd post something so your new thread wouldn't be so lonely. I hope you get some good replies, but GTO is pretty dead these days.

Still hanging on
If it wasn't for this at the bottom of the page: Who is online In total there are 14 users online :: 3 registered, 0 hidden and 11 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes) I'd think ol' GTO was about dead. Seems like the new format started (which is nicer than the old one) and posting ...

Re: Photobucket 3rd party hosting charge
I don't use photo sites, as I never trusted them to do well. Too often I see photos on forums go poof, then the post is often useless. Comments on other websites seem to think PB has commited suicide, and I think that's about right. Most alternatives I've seen mentioned favor a service called Imgur....

SP design change
I thought I posted this, but can't find it. Short story, I got my SP101 .357 as even trade from Ruger for a bad LCR in late March. It has a new design in the area below the crane release button. You can also see the newer tapered cylinder. http://gunnerforum.com/attachments/gun-talk/7970d1493225897-...

Re: MK IV recall
Lots of whining on Rimfire Central. People can't get their gun to duplicate the problem, or they have Volquartsen parts that eliminate the problem, or the recall will ruin their $100 trigger jobs. Many are claiming they won't do the recall, and bad-mouthing Ruger. It's a little disconcerting to hear...

Re: Mystery Scratch
Is the scratch as bad as it looks in the photo? It LOOKS like it's pretty deep, something you couldn't polish smoother once the cause is eliminated.
