Yeah, maybe..... there's a youtube video of a guy using the double drum Harbor Freight tumbler...... I was just wondering if the mixer would be easier to use, and capable of much greater capacity..... Seems like you could throw in every piece of brass you owned.....

Harbor Freight brass tumbler......

I've heard tell of guys using the portable cement mixer below to make a giant wet, stainless media brass tumbler...... Seems like a fairly good idea if you shoot a lot..... Anybody here ever done this, or know someone who's done it? Kinda afraid to pull the trigger on one..... http://www.harborfreig...

Holster recommendations?

Recent "over-development in my home town and the attendant "human conflict" issues rising from it have reinforced my desire to be self-defense capable at all times. I own a Colt Combat Commander .45, a Smith and Wesson Model 15, and a Kel Tec 9 pocket pistol; I carry the Colt most of the time, I wil...

front sight height.......

Dumb question: should the rear sight notch height match up with the front sight height? I dropped my beloved carry Combat Commander and screwed up the rear sight..... I put another one from my parts box on, but....as you probably can't see from the photograph..... the front sight is now about 2-3 mi...

target rifle bolt shims?

I have an older 18XX Anschutz prone gun with a Hart Barrel that was installed long ago by Karl Kenyon..... this shim (sorry for the poor photo) was on the bolt, in front of that cylinder with the bolt handle attached. I assume it was a head space mechanism... the rifle shoots accurately without it, ...

3 stage trigger on my Ruger 22/45.....

I have a 22/45 with a Volquartzen accuracy kit..... I did have a Volquartzen trigger in it, too, but it started not cocking, and when I tried to back the pre-travel screw out, the tool socket stripped.... (I think I used finger nail polish to cement the screw in). We tried drilling it from the rear,...

On and on, and on, and on..... goes the .22lr shortage......

I'm not sure the .22lr shortage will ever end... doesn't appear to, although I've kept myself shooting rifle silhouette, position rifle, and indoor NRA conventional pistol (.22) by buying odd lots, from acquaintances, from internet sales, etc. I now shoot stuff I would've scorned a few years ago, al...

Not hard, Basically remove the bolt, drive out the FP retainer pin to take it apart. BE has a nice guide here: http://www.guntalk-online.com/service.html Well, yeah.... true enough, except you didn't tell me about that little spring and bar under the firing pin that I didn't know was there! Kaboing...

.22 lr conversion kits for bullseye......

Whew! Haven't been on in awhile! Computer went down several months ago, and it took me awhile to find you again! Question: I shoot a Ruger 22/45 with a Millet red dot for gallery bullseye, and it's fine... but I also have a beautiful old wadcutter 1911 in the safe, with a superb trigger. I decided t...

Air rifle for gallery and silhouette practice....

I have an old RWS Model 75 which is scoped, and which I use at home for silhouette and gallery practice. It's cheap, convenient, and the relatively slow muzzle velocity of the rifle does wonders for my old man's hold and follow through....... Question: I bought the gun in 1984, and it literally has ...
