I feel sheepish when people paint with that broad of a brush. I was on a Navy repair tender tied up in Subic Bay, PI. or somewhere in Japan for much of Vietnam. I am not a war hero, never served in-country, got shot or shot anyone else, but I know what some of our boys went thru. Thirty five years l...

The Wal-Mart Federal 550 pack is my mainstay with my MKIII. I shoot a box per week. I had a few hangups originally, but after going to the Volquartsen extractor I haven't had one since. The Remington 333 shoots as well, cost exactly the same price, and it the preferred 'cheap' round in a Beretta 21A...

My Henry lever carbine feeds and ejects shorts like it was designed to run them. I'll have to take that toy to the range next time I destroy a pot (MrsBFD was going to check @ Goodwill today), easier to clean and more fun to shoot than the 10/22 anyway! I agree. I have never shot the longs or short...

NRA local meeting.

I went to my first local NRA meeting tonight with the Banquet/fund raiser and all. It was very interesting although quite expensive for my lot in life. I was taken back at the lack of Police Officers, where were the dozens of Officers I know? Are Cops on the other side of the armed society, foe of t...

I think you nailed it. It does appear he has it positioned on his arm and not shoulder.
As my neighbor would say, 'I think that learned him good'.

I found them to be worse than steel sights. I tried them and they were larger than my target. I put it on backwards and it was a big improvement but still too large, I finally went back to the standard front sight and shoot better with it. More stuff sitting in the bottom of my shooting bag keeping ...

It's good for showing off too. Everyone else can see it swing where they can't see a .22 hole at 100 yards. :-)

I picked up a metal frame stand at the flea market this weekend. I made a steel plate about 9" in diameter and hung it with two chains. I'm looking forward to hearing the clink and getting some feedback from 100 yards. I can hear the bullet hit the cardboard if Rambo isn't shooting his ar-10 at the ...

Center Point Chinese Made Scopes

I added a 3-9x32 (AR22 Series) Scope to my Henry and I am really surprised how much fun you can have with a $54. scope. The ocular adjustment was what made the sale. With or w/o glasses, this is clear as a bell. My Son-in-law gave me a Leupold 4x that I can't see out of but see perfectly with the 3-...

I shoot my Mark III Ruger at 100 yards most of the time. The last time I was at the outdoor range in the National Forest, some guy brought a decoy crow to shoot at. He couldn't hit it with his single shot Ithaca rifle in .22LR caliber and I asked him if he wanted it ventilated. He looked at my pisto...

I took his advice on the Volquartsen sear and trigger and I'm very happy with the results. I installed the Volquartsen extractor while I was in there.

This is w/o a doubt my favorite gun to shoot.

I got my parts from Brownells on the Internet.

I'm under the impression that; If it becomes a problem (which I don't think it will) Ruger will make it right. If you mess it up, it's yours.

It's one of those no action is the right action.
