I don't know exactly when it took place, but fairly recently. You can look on the side of the barrel, adjacent to the receiver and find a marking. If the stamping reads JM (John Marlin I've been told) it's from the old company. This stamp will be on the left side of the barrel, if you were holding t...

It's my nature to try to help solve the issue and I would be likely to share my thoughts on what I believed to be the issue. If I had .45 ACP factory ammo in my RB, I would be more than likely to offer some to him, if needed. I have no desire or need for that particular firearm, but if it were somet...

My suggestion Coach, if you're going to hand hold the pistol is as little magnification as you can get. You will find it much easier to shoot with a 2x vs a 7x for instance. I use a Burris 2x7, set on 7 on my t/c contender. It requires some effort to align the crosshairs and eye, in the same manner ...

I used to load for a TC Contender in .357 magnum, using 296 powder and a Speer 180 grn FNSP rifle bullet. NOTE THAT THIS LOAD IS NOT RECOMMENDED! We would fill the case with 296, brush it off even with the case mouth - then crunch it down with the 180 grain flat-point spitzer. NOTE THAT THIS LOAD I...

Or how about a helo gunship that comes in over the tree tops during the Civil War? Now that might have caused a bit of concern.

I don't carry around the house, but I do keep a cocked and locked 1911 with in close reach. I make it a habit of tucking it into my waist band behind my right hip when answering the door, unless I know for a fact who is knocking.
