Thanks for the offer but I'm looking at either the Hornady or Redding Titanium sets.

I've heard really great things about the Redding 41 Mag set.

Thanks everyone. Now I need to get my Lock-N-Load set up for 41 Mag. I'm certainly not going to be buying a lot of ammo. Still need to test fire it but she's super tight and the cylinder gap and timing where all perfect. It's not perfect....it's definitely seen a little range time.....the picture en...

Has anyone used Dry Fire Dummies like the ones below? Was wondering if this would work for dry fire practice on my Mark III http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=213850 Those are "snap caps" and while good for dry fire practice they will not feed from a clip like a true dummy round. T...

Adam67, When you are ready to load some for 50 yards, just bump your load up to 4.3-4.4 of WST. Provided of course you are shooting 200 gr SWC. It is by far my best load for 50 yds. FWIW I've been using 4.2 of WST ....and yes I'm using 200gr SWC's. They seem to work very well if I do my part. That ...

Just have to ask......are you sure it's flinching? In my experience (which admittedly is not a ton) most people have far more issues with "trigger control" and they often self diagnose it as flinching. Are you trying to "Snatch" bullseyes? (You see your sights (or dot) aiming right at the bull and y...

Well my shell plate finally arrived so I got it up and running last night. This is my first press so I took it slow. I've used a Dillon 550b but I have never set up dies before so I was starting from scratch. All in all things went really well. Had some confusion on how to set up the seater die so I...

just curious what reloading press did you get? I just picked up my own progressive press. I was going to get a Dillon 550b or possibly the Square Deal (I'm only doing pistol right now). But after doing a ton of homework I decided upon (to the dismay of my mentor) a Hornady Lock-N-Load AP. He has be...

I shot in the Flushing NRA Sectional this past weekend. That was fun. I have been shooting rather poorly this winter....low Marksman scores; 230's-250's for the NMC.....not good. Really struggling with trigger control, especially on Timed & Rapid. So what better time to work on your techniques than ...

Well I'm still having fun....but I'm still shooting 260 average for the National Match Course :( Really I'm not sad. I've had no time to practice and even had about 2 1/2 months with no shooting at all (not by choice). I did throw up a 93 slow fire with my 45 the other day......and that was with one...

Well I'm doing the same type of shooting you described..... local informal bullseye. I picked up a Springfield Loaded Target for $825 and could not be happier. Maybe I got lucky but this thing is a real sweet shooter. It helps that my instructor knows his way around a 1911 and he has done some work ...

R,

No, but I've seen a few who have learned to thumb cock it and fire single action.....even for rapid fire.

Adam, I am not sure, I would have to contact RRA and find out. Looking at the offending bullet, I would have to say that it was due to no crimp. I went back up to 4.2gr of BE and taper crimped. So far no more problems. By the way, I joined a club here in Phoenix that is hosting the Arizona practica...

Well I had one failure to feed the other day in 200 rds. Looked like the mouth of the brass caught maybe the hood and dinged it. I normally do not crimp my ball ammo but with the wadcutter I decided to taper crimp to .469" I think that this might keep it from happening again. What say you experts ?...
