Bass Pro, Academy and GM seem to have some .22 ammo on hand most every day, but maybe not in an all day quantity. The Walmarts seem to have more of the underground supply conspiracy. I have been able to maintain my inventory without having to get up at dark-thirty to stand in line. But I am in GA an...

I saw the movie this past weekend. It is one REALLY good show. A lot more than just an army shootem-up movie. Nothing at all like that. I am a VN vet and counted the days to go from the first day in country. I was offered a chance to extend, but turned it down. One tour (year) was enough. For Chris ...

In the general group of dirt daubers, there was also the organ-pipe wasp. The dirt structures built on flat surfaces looked like church organ pipes.

Slow to see this, but I had the same problem with my Challenger II. The sear spring was really weak. New spring, and a new disconnector while I was about it, and problem solved. :)

What happened to the bullet in the second chamber? Was it lodged in the cylinder? Go out the side of the cylinder? I would be a little worried the timing is somehow messed up. Think I would take it to a gunsmith as well.

Thanks for the link, Bullseye. Yes I guess the proper term is a 6 o:clock hold. actually I like to split the bull with the sight. I just really don't shoot at 15 yrds. Actually, DNR is taking out the 25 yard berm because too may FMJ rounds from the 9 mm,s, 40 cal. and the .223s were skimming the top...

Beretta 92g shooting 6 inches low...

I am shooting pretty nice groups, but I am consistently 6 inches low at 25 yards. What do I do to bring the group up? Do I need a new front sight? This is with the top of front sight even with top of rear sight in a standard sight picture. 9 mm BTW.

Thank you for an upbeat review. I enjoy my Single-Six, but the Bearcat's small and precise, kind of interesting. The few I've looked at probably had the best fit and finish of any Ruger revolver I've seen. ... Ruger22 - A big 10-4 on the Bearcat. Replacing my long lost Bearcat was like finding a lo...

They're pretty, and they're interesting ... but what does it do that a convertible single-six can't? It weighs about 1/2 what single six does for one thing. It fits on your belt out of the way, And it is just a super neat little six gun. I carried one for years when I was with the forest service. P...

The Rem Eley was not all that much better than Auto Match. In fact the Win SS HPs shot better in my weapons than the Eley. And for what and why I shoot, AM is all I need. BTW, Fed 510b Lightnings shoot just as good for me with a shift in the POI of about a 1/4 inch. In all the rest of my .22s for ju...

I think I would give up on Wolf Mtn and stick with Auto Match. If I had money on the line and knew some ammo was necessary to beat the odds and win the match, that is one thing. But punching holes at 25 yd.s AutoMatch does a fine job at that exercise. JMO, you understand. TB

I wish someone (much smarter than me) would figure out why that "first shot flier" happens.. The commonly professed cause is a "lube ring" at the mouth of the case in the borer that melts after a shot or two, and then doesn't interfere with the bullets egress thereafter. My question to that logic is...

I have had very good results with Fed Auto Match and Fed 510B, with CCI mini-mags coming in third for the most part. My MKIIg, Rem Mdl five and CZ Silhouette all seem to do well with the Feds mentioned. The MKIIg at 50 yd.s http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm193/varmithunter/Range%20Time/P7180211....

Got to admit BAOM, it does look look pretty patriotic as was mentioned. With targets like that you must have had Bear pulling the trigger or doing the sighting, or both! TB
