Finished doing all the modifications to my new Ruger MKIII 22/45 Lite. It sure is fun to shoot on the Steel Plates at the Range. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/RugerMKIII2245Lite_zps39f41894.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/RugerMKIII2245LiteLeftSide_zpsb17fe927...

My new Ruger MKIII 22/45 Lite should be at my dealers this next week. I bought this gun mainly for shooting in the Ruger Rimfire Challange. This past August I used my beloved Ruger MKII 5 1/2" Stainless Bull Barrel and thought I may actually do better with a little lighter gun swinging from plate to...

The wait is over!

My McMillan Rimfire Magnum Varmint Stock arrived today for my Custom Ruger 77/22. I originally Customized this Rifle back in 2009. I used a Volquartsen Laminated Stock with a Clark Custom Guns 20" Stainless Steel Bull Barrel. I reworked the factory trigger till it breaks like a glass rod at 1 1/4 lb...

Thanks guys. I am an old Contender Handgun Shooter from way back so the Charger was sort of a natural for me. The steel eggs are hanging on a piece of 1/4"x1" x 12" long piece of flat iron. I had the eggs welded on the edge of the flat iron and simply drilled a hole on the top for the pivot point. T...

Custom Ruger Charger

I actually started this project a year ago, then scrapped the whole project. A month or so back I got the urge once again so this time I just went and bought a Ruger Charger. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/RugerChargerFactory.jpg I shot the Charger in the above configuration for a ...

I built another Black Rifle look-a-like based off of a Ruger 10/22. This time I used an Archangel 556 Stock Kit. After assemblying it I was quite pleased but I knew the Rails on the Archangel Free Float Tube would have to go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/ArchangelNordic.jpg Above...

My Barrel and the rest of my parts arrived last week. Last night I went over to my machinist buddies and we shortened and crowned my barrel. This barrel started life out as a 17 1/2" Heavy Fluted Barrel that was .920" in diameter for the first 13 3/4" and then it got larger to 1.060" for the last 4"...

I picked up my Stripped Ruger Charger Receiver from my FFL Dealer yesterday. I was quite pleased that it has the new finish on it. It appears to be a soft satin powder coat rather than than the wrinkle finish paint of recent versions. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/RugerChargerRece...

Roger stopped over this morning again with the Charger Stock. He finished bedding the extra piece of wood on the bottom of the 10/22 stock and made the adaptor to screw the Contender Grip to the 10/22 Stock. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/LarryinSD/RugerCharger-6.jpg Above is a photo of the ...

New Rimfire Handgun in the works.

Every year for the past 3 years I have built a custom .22. They have consisted of a Custom Ruger 77/22 and 2 Custom Ruger / Nordic Components 10/22's. Since I am a Handgun Shooter / Handgun Hunter at heart and do have a Super 14 .22 LR Match Contender Handgun that shoots great the next obvious proje...

I am actually using a Harris BR Model Bipod mounted backwards on my Free Float Tube and a Rabbit Ear Bag under the Buttstock. I also shoot our Bench Rest League with my Stainless-Steel Super 14 .22 LR Contender Handgun with a 3x12x32mm Burris LER Fine Plex - PA Handgun Scope with Target Turrets. I h...
