I put one on my Single Six, and never looked back! Great improvement, IMHO. The accuracy and fun are back! :D

Help! "Gunsmith" screwdrivers.

OooKay... :? I decided to spring for a set of so called gunsmith screwdrivers for the obvious reason; to eliminate screw damage, etc. I tried several offerings, among them B-Square and Brownell's. So far, my exerience has been less than great. All I seem to have is really expen$ive set(s) of screwdr...

Sights for a Ruger MK II autopistol

My eyes are a real problem. Advancing age has almost eliminated accurate use of iron sights. I bought a Weigand mount and a Millett red dot scope for my Mark II, and accuracy improved remarkably, but after a while, I just couldn't stand the clunky look, bulk and weight of the set up. Will be sold on...

I have used both, and never had a problem with either. Of course, I just use my Lee priming tool or my RCBS...no progressive loaders.

I have a 586 that I have owned since the '80s. It is not bad, just not exciting, and frankly, I should a bought the Ruger Security Six when I was making my choices. Buuuut...Smiths are good, if a tad overpriced. Just my $.02.

Am I misreading your post? Bullseye Nope, you read it correcty. Actually, I was addressing this point in the original post... "I like the ballistics of the .270, but I am worried that I may be lacking with that choice when it comes to takedown power."... Now, I admit, it is a bit confusing, but tho...

What? Sounds like someone may have been reading Elmer, (not Fudd) who opined that the .270 was a "damned adequate coyote rifle." I think he said that just to piss off Jack O'Conner, who liked the .270. :D POPPYCOCK! The .270 is adequate for any North American game, except perhaps the great be...

Optics for Mk II

Well, it looks as if iron sights are pretty well finished for me. Bad day at the range. I had a really tough time even getting on paper! My aging eyes have a hard time getting consistent groups. I have tried ONERAGGEDHOLE sights, white paint on the front sight, white insert front sights, with the Re...

Seems to me the MK II Target's trigger is light and crisp enough for most all reasonable purposes. When I got my Mk 5 1/4" Target, in a fit of youthful enthusiasm, I had a Clark trigger installed. Some slight improvement was noticed. Do I like it? Yes. Would I do it again? Probably not. The $$ would...

Re: Single Six

Hey Folks: My single six is having a problem. My thought: NASTY AMMO Open for suggestions. Thanks in advanced I think you are right. Remington of whatever flavor has a bad reputation at my range. Spring for some more expensive ammo. CCI Mini Mag HP comes to mind, or maybe some Federal bulk. I like ...
