Sorry for the confusion. It turned out it was the plunger spring, when I had this trigger in my 22/45, it gave me the same problem, I forgot that I could not use that spring for whatever reason.
I put the factory plunger spring in and now the hammer drops fine. Thanks for responding Bullseye

If you can hold the pistol upside down and the disconnector drops to engage the sear properly, then you likely left out the trigger spring, or need a new one (this is what pushes the disconnector up into the sear). Or this maybe? When he says "trigger spring", does he mean the plunger spring? The Ma...

Disconnector is not popping up to engage the sear. (This can be seen when looking at it with the receiver off and main spring housing in, but when testing the trigger this way make sure to catch the hammer and not let it hit the frame) The disconnector should move freely, and not be gritty at all. I...

VQ Sear and Marval Trigger ?
I got my VQ sear in the mail yesterday from Rimfire sports and Custom. So I broke the pistol down, and removed the factory sear and installed the VQ. Before putting the upper back on, I checked to see if the hammer would release when the trigger is pulled. It did, so I threw the upper back on, once ...

Got the LCI out, thanks Cadillo :D , it was as easy as you said it was, I used the rubber handle of a screw driver to tap the reciever until the bolt popped out, then the LCI went flying  . I found it under my bed with the littl metel piece seperated from it. My only question is, was I supposed...

Thanks Cadillo, I will try that tonight after work. Hey Greener, I would have had that same box as you were it not for this forum  . I actually found this forum from browsing RFC, I was not even into Ruger pistols until I got on RFC and here, after buying a 10/22 I figured, since everyone had s...

Well, my bushing showed up quick from Numrich, I broke the whole pistol down to install the bushing and remove the mag disconnect. Once again, I ran into problems getting the sear back in after I decided to pull it out to clean it off. I used Bullseye's instructions (with pics) to figure out how to ...

Dings dents and scratches
Guys, is it normal for a brand new MKIII to have all kinds of blemishes on the inside of the gun? When I broke it down by hand (no tools were used), I noticed a dent inside the grip frame, I saw discolorations to the frame around the trigger. Saw a scratch insid the bolt, looks like someone got happ...

I can respect your feelings about pulling off the disconnect and the LCI. The LCI does not bother me, the disconnet does, only because it makes it a hair more cumbersum to break the pistol down. I did try to get ther LCI off last night, but I didnt have a rubber mallet so I left it alone. I have the...

Ruger MK II houge grips
How do I mod them to fit the MKIII? I know it should not be hard, I am just wondering what tools you guys use to cut away material for the mag release.
