From everyhting that I have seen, the MK series will outperform the Charger unless you re-barrel the charger.

I have used clear fingernail polish in a pinch. It was was Wife's and not mine - Had to say that before the jokes started! :) Permatex also makes a blue medium thread lock - Should be available at Lowe's and Home Depot.
