22/45 PacLite reliability problems with target ammo

I have a MkIII 22/45 with a PacLite upper. I built this gun for my son to use in steel matches. It has a clamp on bolt knob to make it easier for him to run. It has the rail installed with a Burris Fastfire. This gun runs well with CCI MiniMags round nose. We've used that all up, and as you know, it...

It was the front/lateral guide ridges. I used stripped mags as suggested by Bullseye, with a bright flashlight at the other end. There was a contact point on each front/lateral guide ridge, near the bottom. A bit of fine-file work did the trick, and they drop free now.

Thank you

22/45 mag eject, dragging and slow despite safety removal

My new 22/45 has some of the basics done: mag safety removed & MkII bushing in, bolt lock detent/spring removed, LCI metal tab & spring removed, VQ sear en route. It fires and fxns fine. My problem is that when ejecting mags there is too much friction for them to fall out under there own weight. I h...

Excellent, thank you Bullseye. A few more questions from a guy who was into MkIIs several years ago and not since: Is there a one-shop stop for Clark bushing and VQ trigger? Are blast shields still available, the type that Bill X had at Rimfire Custom (Sports & Custom?)? It used to be that you could...

Also a non sequitur, but the poly mags from Marvel that have been out for a few years have been FAR FAR better for me than the out-of-spec metal Ace mags they were selling. I have a Marvel trigger on my MKII, and just picked up a 22/45 MkIII, and am disappointed that the Marvel trigger is no longer ...

I shoot steel. My Marvel Unit 1 seems as reliable as my MkII, which means that when clean and with the right ammo, they mostly run through a match with 1-2 or problems. Steel matches really highlight the function difficulties in rimfire pistols. The polymer mags from Marvel are the way to go, if you...
