Re: About gone but not forgetten

Activity is way down. Even I don't check this forum as frequently as I used to in the past. I cannot speak for others but I have been busy in other endeavors since I retired. I still get out to the range but more like once in a while instead of several times a week like I used to a few years ago. R,...

Welcome back. Rimfire ammo is the most cost effective way to go these days. A good way to hone your skills.

Re: Make-shift bipod UPDATED!! For all Barrels.

I do enjoy shooting my unlimited Garand with the iron sights. The peep sight aperture is small enough to act as an iris to assist in my focusing on the front sight. The front post on that rifle is narrowed to exactly the same width of the aiming black of the SR targets. Don McCoy made that one for m...

Re: Aquila and my 22/45

I have had feeding issues with Aguila Super Extra 40 gr. ammo in the past in my .22 autos. So much so, that I only used it in bolt rifles like my smallbore Anschutz rifles. It shoots consistently just has difficulty feeding into match and standard sized chambers of semi-auto pistols. I found by hand...

Re: Make-shift bipod UPDATED!! For all Barrels.

Looks real good. I see you've been staying on top of your game. I have been spending a bit more time with my service rifle shooting across the course and less with my pistols. Trying to refine all my positions now that we can use scopes for competition. I know I'm a bit late with those rules changes...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

Hardball, I know how you feel. I have not been out as much as I'd like over the past few years, but I do still keep my hand in it. I'm not quite as competitive as I used to be, but I do still like competing. I still spend a lot of my time at the range passing on what I know to some of the newer hand...

Still around and kicking, just MIA for awhile.

Hello all! I am still around even though I haven't spent much time here on the forum. I thought I would post to you and see how many responses I get. I know a few people have posted over the past few years, so I am wondering how many of you still show up to check on this forum. Post here to check in...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

I am still around. I haven't been posting on the forum for quite a bit of time, as many of you have noticed. My free time to spend on any of the gun boards has been severely limited. I will check by here more frequently. Good to see there are still a few hard-core users checking in from time to time...

Board Update Successful

Just updated the software version for the forum. Some of you may have noticed a bunch of error scripts at the top of the forum when you accessed the webpage. This was due to my hosting company updating the server php to a newer more secure version and it didn't play well with the older forum softwar...

Re: Is the Smith 41 worth the price

The Model 41 is a very good competition pistol. If you are serious about competing then eventually you will move in the direction of obtaining one of these models. If you're just beginning in competition then the Ruger is a good starter pistol. While the 41 is very diet sensitive, the trigger consis...

Re: Do you have plans for a MKIV detail strip how to?

I just haven't had enough time to script and generate a Mark IV listing yet, as you can see by my lack of posts over the past year, I have been extremely busy. I will get to it.

Re: Bullseye powder

I used to use Bullseye powder exclusively, but when the manufacturing plant blew up and it got hard to find, I started using other brands.
