I have a "basic" PM9 stainless with standard sight, it has been my EDC for about 2 years now, ~750 round so far it is 100% reliable and amazingly accurate for a pistol of this size. Trigger is buttery smooth; light, slim, all day comfort in a Mitch Rosen Clipper IWB. I have always wanted to replace ...

Thanks for the kind words.. me never a good shoot, need a lot of continuing practice.

Towards the tail end of the range session, I did start to feel the weight of the BB and the scope... I may need to get one of those a holo sights such as FastFire or Quickshot etc..

Thanks!

Good day @ the range - "transformed MKIII"

Finally went to an indoor range to sight in the "transformer", I am very pleased with the decision to transform the MKIII with a 22/45 barrel. In my case, using the "no smith mount" on the original Standard upper raised the red dot so high that I could not get a good balance and it put the scope too...

Transformed: 22/45 MKIII upper on MKIII

My aging eyes rely on optics to shoot, so instead of drill / tap the MkIII Standard, I use Weigand no-smith mount for the UltraDot. The mount functions very well for it's intended purpose but didn't work for me: adds bulk, weight and height, and loses the rear sight. So I went costing out drill/tap ...

Ols topic - new question: 22/45 MkIII barrel to MKIII lower

I have read a few 2008/2009 posts about (filing) work is needed before a 22/45 barrel can fit a MKIII lower. Question is: has thing changed in 2010/2011 production? I have a (2011) 22/45 upper coming, my MkIII lower (SS) is a 2010 production.... not sure if I need to go buy a dremel (finally) :shock...

Yes, Joe is a great guy.. I bought a Mueller AVP for my CZ451 from him... order placed at 3pm, received UPS ship notice at 4pm.. within an hour. FASTEST I've ever experienced. I consider getting the Mueller reflex sight from him ... just decided to go with an used UltraDot. I do believe that reflex ...

Congrat for the new sight, baldy! It looks VERY good with your MkIII. Mueller sights are under rated, I trust that yours will out-perform many others.

Enjoy!

Grip screws for MkIII: Stainless Steel Torx/hex - what size?

hi,

I like to replace the stock screws with SS - Torx or hex to go with my Hogue grips. I went to Ace today but found that they are not 6/32 nor M4 (smallest they carry)

Where can I get these replacement screws?

Thanks!

Bullseye: yes I did, it is nicely machined and installation is easy. Thanks to all the recommendation from you and other fellow members. The whole set up did add weight and change the balance of the MkIII but it is expected. I'll shoot it for a while and determine if I'll go with drill/tap for a ref...

Sightron red dot scope S33-4R -- on it's way

Couple of weeks ago when I was looking for an used Ultradot, I came across a Sightron S33-4R for a fair price. I did buy the Ultradot and I really like how red dot scope helps my 50-something eyesight .. target acquisition is so much faster and with a clear sight picture. I fall in love immediately....
