Lakes covered with ice I know absolutely nothing about, but i do know about the Charter Arms Bulldog 44 Special. Mine is a black coated stainless steel DAO (aka "hammerless") 2 1/2". It fits in my front pocket no problem. We live in a rural, very low violent crime area so I'm comfortable with 5 chan...

I'm glad I read this. I have a MKIII that i bought new about 5 years ago, Standard Model, 6" barrel. I mostly fire bulk Winchester, Federal, and CCI Blazer high velocity rounds. I have run less than a magazine of Stingers, and the same amount of Remington Yellow Jackets, while dispatching chickens (...

Actually, the bore is 22WMR size, which is larger than 22LR. the base of the LR bullet "slugs up" to fit.

Yes, it should have. Did you mean Ruger Single Six? Check with Ruger, they should be able to fit one for you.

Years ago I had a 7 & 1/2" 45 Colt/ACP convertible, but I let it get away. Ruger doesn't cataloge that barrel length anymore so I now have a 5 & 1/2". The local small town pawn shop had a Flat Top 357 magnum for $300. The only defect was aftermarket grips and very minor rust on the ejector rod tube....

I feel sheepish when people paint with that broad of a brush. I was on a Navy repair tender tied up in Subic Bay, PI. or somewhere in Japan for much of Vietnam. I am not a war hero, never served in-country, got shot or shot anyone else, but I know what some of our boys went thru. Thirty five years ...

Greener, I know when yuou think biggerr bulletss, you are thinking 105mm or larger and log range is a few miles. 600 yards is awfully close. I do prefer 155mm at 10 kilometers to a rifle at 300-600 yards. I'd go with the bigger bullet for everyone except it is a long, expensive process. The 5.56 ro...

I have two, but they are not in the same league as those listed above. Both are Stoeger Uplanders, a 20 ga and a 410. I don't hunt, these are my around-the-farm working guns. Late at night if the chickens start raising a ruckus and the wife "suggests" I go check things out I go forth with a 38 in my...

Welcome to Guntalk-online RPD! R, Bullseye Why, thank you, sir. I didn't see a place on the board to introduce myself, so let me take this opportunity to do so. I'm 61, a Vietnam vet, and have a modest collection of firearms, mainly military surplus. The wife and I have a small farm in rural northe...

Actually the New Model Blackhawks have a larger grip frame than the original Colt SAA. The old model "Flat tops" have a Colt size grip.
My New Model blackhawk is a 45 Convertible. What's yours?
I'm a Ruger guy, got 5 of their handguns.
