I believe Waltz charges $139 plus shipping and he sells a lot of them. They are a proven die that drastically improves cheap bullets, and improves quality target .22. I have used one to clean up the accuracy of Walmart bulk pack in the past and still use it for target ammo in rifles.

Had a new Mark II that absolutely would not go together. It "sprung" when taking it apart. Sent it to Ruger who said there was nothing wrong with it, just needed hammered. Then I spoke with the guy who worked on it and he said he had to ream the bolt and frame to make it fit. A factory misfit, done ...

Re: Marvel

If you ever shoot a properly Marvel set up for Bullseye, you will forget about any other gun you ever owned. I like mine much better than the Rugers and 41's I own, and have owned. Don't just mount it on a 1911, you need the entire gun set up for .22.

Re: Shooting .38spl in a .357 revolver

Only difference is 1/10 of an inch on the case and .357 are loaded heavier. I have had a S&W 686 that has shot thousands of rounds, and never saw a .357. just 38 Specials

Re: Gun Show Purchase Stories

Prices on cleaning supplies, targets, scopes, DVD, patches are only a fraction of what many dealers charge. Around here one cannot afford not to buy this stuff at shows. Plus many dealers come and have show specials on guns, which is a little saving-not much. If you are one to deal shows are the pla...

Re: Gun Law-Arizona Shooting

I remember when Glock came out with the composite frame. Libs wanted to ban them because they would go through X-ray machines and being plastic were merely Sat. Night Specials.

I rate MidwayUSA, Dillon, and RCBS as offering some of the finest
CS in the industry. Up there with them is Cabellas and S&W.

Re: Millett RD00006

I own 2 Millets. Great dot scopes. I prefere a 25 for rimfire and 30 for .45, but that is just personal. Bushnells seem to work well for a few years then fail. Have not have that problem with Milletts.

My pick would be between an Ultra Dot then Millett.

Re: Bullseye shooters, what guns are you using ?

You have some nice equipment. I use Mark II and S&W 41 for rimfire, Kimber Gold Match and Target Match for .45. Around here Marvels are slowly replacing Hammerli and S&W on the .22 line. Colt 70's seem to still be the favorite 1911/.45.

Re: MKII Mainspring Housing

I spent way too much time trying to reassemble a mainspring housing so I called Ruger and got a new one assembled for $31 I believe. Several people in the club tried (some succeeded) in reassembling them, but all said just order a new one. I could not find them assembled from Brownells or other supp...

Re: Educate Me Please..

I find if I do not clean my Mark II every 200-300 rounds it gets a creapy trigger - swab through the barrel once or twice and put the bottom in ultrasonic cleaner. 1911 every 200-300 rounds clean top end, every 500 or so bottom and top. It just gets too dirty after that. Shooting .38 with Am. Select...

Best stuff I ever used for cleaning, but I use only a fraction of the acetone. Great for scrubbing or using in an ultrasonic unit. Unlike brake cleaner, you know all points have some lubrication and not "dried out."

Re: R.J. Braverman revolver

In the '60's I had a tear gas pencil produced by the same company. I heard they quit making them since they were easily adapted to shooting 38 specials. It was a screw in tear gas cartridge with a huge load of gas and powder.
