I like the Wather pistols but this new model that releases the magazilne by activating a lever on the trigger guard SUCKS BIT TIME!!! Also anyone with a .380 cal. carrying it for "self-defense" on the streets has their head in the sand people. The .380 auto caliber is known as a "GET THE GUY OFF MY ...

Hakaman a little more bench work and you will have that rifle shooting under an inch! Also just for grins, you might try IMR-4320 powder @ 42.5 grains powder, velocity was 3250fps. It sure made my model 70 Winchester in .243 shoot great groups, using Sierra 85 grn bullets. :D

I have never delt witlh those picanny rails but after firing my FAL .308 the other day, it is imperative that I get one of those rails in order to mount a Leupold scope on top, so as to be able to shoot those nice groups at the range. I used to be able to shoot 3 inch groups with my M1-Garand and M-...

Last month I tested the 45acp (1911model) Glock 17 in 9mm Luger, Sig-P226 .40 cal and several others. Now that 9mm Luger will make a believer out of those that might have been skeptical like myself, over the ability of the 9mm round to penetrate and compete with the .40 cal round. My findings using ...

Fella's I made a light weight brass catcher to put beside the bench when firing the wife's mini-14. It is a major league brass thrower you betcha! I also use it for stationary firing of our pistols and all brass is caught, at least 90% of it anyway. I purchased a used fishing net to go over the alum...

Bill T., Well, I opted for the 25/06 caliber as I have been shooting one for over a dozen years now in a light sporter model 70 Winchester. We went to the range today and shot the wife's Savage .204 with 3200 4 x 12 Bushnell, thin reticule. We shot 2 types of factory ammo through the rifle and contr...

Bill T., All is well with the Savages and Bushnell 3200 tac scopes! I like you did purchase a couple more of those Bushy 3200 elite scopes, with mil-dots. Love those mil-dots I do! :D

My favorite competition pistol was a COLT Python! Next was the COLT Gold cup, which was soon replaced with 2 model 70 series that were customized for shooting competition. It took me almost 3 months of shooting to get used to the Gold Cup in those days, I was a revolver man converted over to the 191...

A.Hermit.......YOU sir, said a mouthfull about those GLOCKS! I too have had several COLTS in 1911 (Gold CUPS & 70 series customized) and Kimbers in 1911, one a carry gun and the other two were target types in 45acp. However, when it comes to the concealed weapon, I want my GLOCKS simply put. I carry...

MountainWalk.338, I once killed a bull elk with a 25/06, which I often used for 10 years prior harvesting whitetail deer and antelope. However, I will not take it elk hunting anymore, as I figure I just got lucky that day by golly. My go to elk gun is a .338 Win mag and backup is a .338/06 because i...

Bill it looks like you got another honey! A real sweet set up and don't let anybody tell you those SAVAGES don't or won't shoot understand. I just got finished putting a Bushnell 3200 series with Mil-Dot and turrets on a new Savage model 12 with the accu-trigger. The wife and I are heading out after...

Hakaman, lots of good luck I throw your way with your new Kahr! I shot two rental Kahr's and both jammed on me (9mm & 40 cal) but the owner got the same result. I carry GLOCK 29 because of the RELIABILTY FACTOR using all types of ammo!!! Like I stated, I own Kimbers, Sigs, Colts, Smith & Wessons and...

Hakaman I put over 500 rounds through a KEL-TEC P-11 and over 350 rounds each through a PF-9. Still, they do jam!!! Women can not handle the P-11 very well and the looooong trigger pull.

Blue there have been tests on Glocks that went over 250,000 rounds! Just food for thought OK. Now lets get back to the "Carry Gun" issue of Hakaman shall we. The 1911 was NOT built for fast out of the holster use, draw and fire. It was in fact designed for up close and personall hand to hand combat ...

Hakaman.....I wear jeans a lot, especially around our place and my Glock 22 in 40cal with 4.49 inch barrel fits just right in my back pocket of my jeans, with my T-Shirt covering up the grip portion of the pistol. It also gives me plenty to grip, if I should have to draw it out quickly ok. I also ha...
