I did use replace the original hammer with the VQ hammer but I didn't see any difference in the number of miss fires.
Thanks

Mis fires
Some times they will fire the second time you try them, other times they won't. The face on the bolt and barrel are clean, I made sure of that.

I have a Mk iii hunter that I am getting quite a few misfires with it, I have been having this problem since the gun was new. I have polished the firing pin, it was very rough and sticky the first time I looked at it, I have also replaced the hammer, sear, trigger and extractor. The bolt also is not...

Remington mod 511
I have this rifle that I bought back in the 40's, it hasn't been shot much.
The trigger pull is very firm, is there anything that can be done to it?
Thanks

Hi I am replacing the trigger, sear and hammer in my Mkiii with a Volquartsen kit. When I was disassembling the parts I thought I was being careful, but I could find the detent ball and spring. I was taking my mkiii apart to clean it and I can't get it apart. I have cleaned the pistol a lot of times. The spring assembly does not release all the way, I can't get the bottom of the assembly to slide out. The pistol seemed to work allright at the range yesterday. I hope someone has some sugges...

Trigger Job, S&W 686
Hi
I am going to do a "trigger job" on my 686 revolver. I ordered a spring set from Wolff. It comes with "type 2" main spring and 3 rebound springs, 13, 14 and 15 lb springs. How do I know which is the best rebound spring to use with this main spring?
Thanks
