Hi Hakaman , Great looking rifle & price!!! I have been using Burris scopes for years. The optics are wonderful. I currently own three. They are on my 204Ruger, 308Ruger & my Ruger mini 30. I also have the Burris fastfire red dot site. I had one problem with one scope. It came with a used rifle. So ...

Hi laportechaarlie , That sounds like great advice. I will not put too much into it except for the recoil pad. Maybe 20 to 30 bucks top. After that I will use it on occasions where I dont feel like using my L.C Smith s/s. I would like to find someone that has a manual for it though. Maybe in pdf for...

Hi laportechaarlie , Thanks for the info. I had actually called a gun dealer & was given the exact same info. I also concluded this is a lux grade III with a 28" barrel. I fired it today & all I can say is the producer of this particular shotgun did not believe in taking any of the recoil out of it ...

Dan / Arms shotgun

Hi all, I just recently had a shotgun handed to me. Its a Dan Arms O/U in 12 gauge. The barrel is 27"1/2 from muzzle to breach. It has one trigger with no way to choose which barrel to shoot first or second. There is no model number on it. This is the only shotgun that I have ever seen that does not...

Hi Bullseye, When I was shooting the indoor temp was between 48 & 58 degrees. When I tested the new mags I was outdoors between 50 & 60 degrees so it was about the same. After speaking to the previous owner he stated that he had the same problems from day one. After about 50 or so rounds the origina...

Hi Guys, bearandoldman , I tried putting the stock plunger & spring in & that made it much worse. With that being said I changed the bent spring with a new one & put back the VQ plunger & spring. Went to the club & I backed out the post travel screw a little & I am shooting just fine. I tried using ...

Sear spring

Hi, I did bend the spring back & it did function but, I will replace the spring with a new one anyway. It did fire correctly with 40gr ammo but, then it happened again. So I backed out the pre travel screw a little bit & it stopped. Then it worked fine until I tried the 36gr ammo & it does it more f...

New Mags

Hi, I purchased three new mags. Two Metalforms & one Wilson. Seems all problems are solved. I left them fully loaded for a day and tried them out. They both worked flawlessly. They throw the brass directly into the catcher except for the last shot??? On all three mags the last shot just dribbles out...

Hi Z400ACDC, I am using the Burris fast fire on my Mark III 22/45 and I'm very pleased with it. I also have the Ultra Dot Match Dot On my 45 wadcutter & I love that one also. In comparing the two I would say the fast fire allows you too see more on either side or above when you are looking through t...

Interesting thread

Hi Hakaman, My model is a MIII 22/45. I should have looked at bullseye's proper way to put all this back together & not my way. After installing the VQ accurizing kit the pistol worked fine but, just recently began not resetting again. I thought maybe the loctite did not take & the screw backed out....

Bent Sear Spring

Hi, I guess I bent the top of the long leg of the sear spring. After I noticed that the pivot pins were in the wrong spot I of course switched them back & in the process I bent sear spring. A quick call to Ruger and I will have a new one... three to four weeks from now  Thats just not a...

Hi Bullseye, I put 40 rounds through my 1911 with numbered mags. The mag that I've numbered 1 gives me the most problems. It's one of the two original mags so its about two years old now. I do believe its worn. I noticed while clean & after a few shots that when the slide is held open the latch does...

Hi, Its great when you get to shoot your upgraded gun and it works. I was so happy that I think it even improved my shooting. :!: The VQ extractor works flawlessly. After examining the stock one I did notice some considerable wear. This one should last a good long time. Bullseye is it possible...

Broke a nail #@*%

Hi bullseye, Thanks for the link it was very helpful but, you forgot the part on how to not break a nail!!!. My MkIII does have the hollow pin but, it was in there very snug & went back in the same. It helps having the proper tools also. After further looking I had noticed that I had switched the tr...
