Well being such a lightweight gunsmith, I'm really happy with this Chapman set. It appears to be made well; it's sure designed well. It comes with a regular grip-handle, a small ratchet driver, an extender, and 24 bits--blade, phillips, and hex--all in a strong plastic box small enough to carry in m...

Dapster, I'm the greenhorn that posted the question, but I may be able to help. Midway sells a screwdriver set made by Chapman that has got good reviews. Some customers complained of the tips breaking, but I'd bet that could happen to any screwdrivers made for guns if you pushed them too hard becaus...

Spotting Scope Bargain
I bought a Barska Blackhawk 20-60X60 model AD10350 spotting scope for $120 that I'm very happy with. I used it at the range today, shooting from 50 yards. I was able to see the bullet holes clearly at all power settings, even X60. Then when I aimed the scope at a target on the adjacent 100 yard rang...

Ammo Alert
I thought I'd tell you guys about the ammo I've been able to get in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered 500 rounds of Eley Sport and 500 rounds of Winchester Wildcat on May 2 from Sportsman's Guide. The Eley was shipped today (10 days later), and the Winchester is expected to ship the end of June...

Are a Gun's Screws Different?
The screws on my MkIII's grips and sights seem to be unusual. If I try to use a screwdriver whos width matches the length of the screw-slot, the blade is too thick to fit into the slot. And a screwdriver with a blade thin enough to fit in the slot is too narrow. Do guns have screws with especially t...

In my heart I feel that some clown just holding up a cashier at gunpoint with customers around is enough of a threat to the customers and I to justify shooting him. But I don't know if the law would agree with me in many states. I'd hate to do time even as a hero. In other words, if in doubt I would...
